JOB SUMMARY:
This full-time, benefit eligible position is part of the Outdoor Living Unlimited carpentry team. Outdoor Living Unlimited specializes in creating custom outdoor spaces that bring our clients' visions to life. We are seeking an experienced and committed Carpenter to join our organization. This role is ideal for an individual who demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship, values collaborative work, and thrives in an outdoor setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Build and install custom decks, pavers, screened-in porches, and other outdoor features.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship with strong attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with homeowners.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, professional attitude on-site.
- Stay up to date with new construction techniques, tools, and materials.
- Adhere strictly to established safety protocols and ensure a safe, organized work environment at all times.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in various outdoor conditions year-round.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Knowledge of carpentry best practices and techniques
- Precision in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials.
- Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
- Perform physical labor and comfortable working at heights
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in carpentry, construction, or a related field
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
WORKING ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds while moving materials. Also has physical stamina and the capacity to lift large, bulky materials.
